The oxalate ester project, a key collaborative R&D initiative between Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and Zhizhen Chemical Engineering Research Center, has pioneered green synthesis technologies through innovative transesterification processes. Utilizing advanced coal-derived materials, it overcomes traditional limitations of high energy consumption and pollution while achieving zero wastewater discharge, 100% atomic efficiency, and 2.7-ton CO2 reduction per product ton.
Recognized with four government grants including major scientific research programs and talent development initiatives, the project has filed 12 patents (2 authorized) and commercialized one technology, driving low-carbon transformation in coal chemical industries under China's dual-carbon strategy.
