Xinjiang Zhichuang Wins Top Prize in Innovation Competition
August 16，2023 - Xinjiang Zhichuang New Materials Co., Ltd. claimed first place in the startup category at the 12th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Bingtuan Division) with its "Green Synthesis Technology for Alkyl Oxalate" project, securing a national finals berth. Organized by Bingtuan authorities, the competition attracted extensie participation across cutting-edge fields including new materials and renewable energy.
The breakthrough technology revolutionizes alkyl oxalate production through catalytic distillation, achieving 20,000-ton annual capacity with national premium-grade standards. By replacing energy-intensive traditional methods, it addresses key challenges of high pollution and low efficiency in coal chemical processes. Industrialization is underway at Shihutan New Materials Industrial Park, covering 300 acres with RMB 260 million investment.
As an affiliate of state-owned Xinjiang Tianye Group, Zhichuang has developed proprietary intellectual properties since its 2022 establishment through collaboration with Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and Shenyang Chemical Technology University. The company's integrated R&D system encompasses process innovation, catalyst development, and talent cultivation under China's "Technology Aid Xinjiang" initiative.
Moving forward, the firm plans to expand applications of its green synthesis technology, driving diversified development of coal-based fine chemicals. Strategic focuses include derivative product development and establishing low-carbon, high-value coal chemical material systems, providing critical technical support for industry transformation.
